Hobbies: When Nick is not in Artis he can be found being a taxi for his kids or generally trying to keep fit, including a competitive level of squash.  Alternatively, on a lazy day just taking the dog for a walk along the local beach.

Background: Nick has over 25 years management experience within leisure and community centres and this has included working for private, local authority and not for profit organisations.  He has worked within many valley communities and understands the barriers to participation, the essential need for health and wellbeing activities and also providing the highest standards of customer service.

Nick holds a number of management qualifications, including a post graduate Diploma in Public Sector Management. His qualifications also include several operational awards in areas such as health and safety, customer service and day to day operations.

Nick also spent 12 years during his spare time as an external Quality Assessor for Quest, the UK Quality scheme for Sport and Leisure. This incorporated travelling the UK auditing all areas of the operation and looking at best practice within many different leisure and community organisations.
