Man Engine coming to Pontypridd!
The Man Engine tour is designed to celebrate the rich mining heritage of South Wales.
Pontypridd was once home to the famous Brown Lenox & Co Ltd, where Rhondda coal was used to produce the anchors and chains that furnished the Admiralty and famous passenger liners including the Queen Mary and the QE2.
To commemorate this, the Man Engine will be presented with a gift that symbolises the chains anchors produced at Brown Lenox & Co. This chain will be created by different community groups from the Pontypridd area, decorating the chain in a way that represents the community.
